In the court documents, the plaintiff, Amanda Diann Godepski, named Stone as the culprit responsible for her personal injuries and property damages. She filed an unlimited civil case against the actress, which is done when the amount demanded exceeds $35,000.

According to Godepski, her encounter with Stone occurred on July 30, 2023, at the Southbound US-101 freeway offramp at Coldwater Canyon Avenue in Los Angeles. Per the document, she claimed:

“At said time and place, defendant Sharon Vonne Stone was negligently owning, operating, driving, managing, and maintaining a vehicle so as to proximately cause the vehicle to strike the plaintiff’s vehicleand so thereby causing the plaintiff to sustain personal injuries and property damage.”

Godepski argued that Stone “caused the collision by driving too fast for traffic conditions” and made “an unsafe turning movement into the plaintiff’s lane of travel.” She stressed that these offenses, plus the collision with her vehicle, violated California Vehicle Codes.

According to Godepski, the alleged accident caused her a pretty penny, and she is suing Stone for these damages. The list included wage loss and the loss of use of property, which, in this case, referred to her damaged vehicle.

The plaintiff also requests compensation for hospital and medical expenses, general damages, property damage, and loss of earning capacity.

The list doesn’t end there, as she wants Stone to cough up payments for “emotional distress, economic damage, and non-economic damage.”

The Hollywood veteran is yet to respond to this lawsuit; however, the alleged car collision occurred three months before Stone opened up about choosing motherhood over the entertainment industry.

Last October, The Blast reported that Stone reflected on her near-death experience in 2001. At the time, she faced a one percent chance of survival due to a ruptured vertebral artery that bled into her brain for nine days.

She explained that this close brush with death helped realign her priorities, making her choose motherhood over her acting career. Looking back, the 66-year-old had no regrets, saying:

“I’m grateful that I chose motherhood as a healthy approach to my life and that I didn’t prioritize Hollywood because they certainly didn’t prioritize me.”

Stone doubled down on her gratitude for her children — sons Roan, Laird, and Quinn — whom she adopted. She described them as wonderful kids and noted they made her decision to prioritize motherhood worthwhile.

A month before her legal drama, The Blast shared that Stone had spilled the tea about being pressured to sleep with a co-star. She named the producer responsible for this alleged crime on Louis Theroux’s podcast.

Stone had previously addressed the claim in her 2021 memoir without revealing the producer’s identity but dropped all the juicy details in March’s episode of the podcast.

She recalled that the incident occurred on the set of “Sliver,” a 1993 American erotic thriller based on the Ira Levin novel of the same name. At the time, her co-star, William Baldwin, nicknamed Billy, was allegedly performing poorly during filming.

For this reason, film producer Robert Evans believed Baldwin would do a better job if he slept with Stone and tried to warm her up to the idea. In her recollection, the 66-year-old said:

“He’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better.

The Producer Believed His Method Would ‘Save The Movie’

According to Stone, Evans believed that Stone sleeping with Baldwin would generate the on-screen “chemistry” their characters needed. Then, their improved dynamic would “save the movie,” which the producer accused the actress of ruining.

Stone alleged that Evans blamed her instead of Baldwin, claiming he said “the real problem with the movie” lay with her.

As for his reason, she said the producer accused her of being an “uptight” person and “so not like a real actress who could just f-ck [Billy] and get things back on track.”

The TV personality stressed that Evans’ demands didn’t sit right with her, especially since she had provided him and the showrunners with a list of actors suitable for Baldwin’s role.

“I didn’t have to f-ck Michael Douglas. Michael could come to work and know how to hit those marks and do that line and rehearse and show up. Now, all of a sudden, I’m in the ‘I have to f-ck people’ business,” Stone lamented, referencing her “Basic Instinct” co-star.
