Rennie Is Taking A Break From Drumming

Rennie made headlines earlier this year when McPhee’s TikTok video went viral, and again when he played the drums at one of his dad’s shows and that video went viral. Then a month later, Rennie went viral again on social media when he played the drums while McPhee sang, “I Will Always Love You.”

“He’s taking a little hiatus,” Foster told PEOPLE. “He hasn’t really been drumming for the past month or two.”

Foster, 74, explained that there’s no actual reason he’s taking a break, other than he’s just a child enjoying touring with his parents.

“As a parent, you can’t push them,” he said. “It’s like, you want to play the drums, and now what’s next? So he’s gone off of it a little bit. But he still loves to watch our drummer play and come to rehearsals, and loves being on the road with us.”

Rennie Won Over More Fans With Another TikTok Video

Another video of the talented toddler doing what he does so flawlessly – drumming – also went viral with more than 8 million views.

In this video, he’s drumming to Whitney Houston’s hit, “I Will Always Love You” while his mom sang some of the lyrics. Foster, sitting on the couch near the drumset in his UGG boots, directed his talented son a bit toward the end of the performance.

“He’s better than most 20-year-olds. How is he so good at it?” one person wrote in the comments. Another said, “Some people are just destined for stardom. Rennie Foster is gifted!!”

And while the drumming and singing were definitely the stars of this show, the UGG boots didn’t go unnoticed. Even the brand dropped into the comments to mention them.
