Kanye West is back at it again, and this time he seemingly believes he is being unjustly treated like Elvis Presley, the “King of Rock and Roll.”
Ye, who has been away from the music scene for a while — with his last studio album released in 2021 — is blaming the powers that be for depriving him of the chance to perform.
Kanye West Claims He Was Banned From Performing
Ye, who is usually on and off, returned to Instagram with a rant about the state of his career. “I HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED TO PERFORM IN A YEAR. FEELS LIKE THE ELVIS PRESLEY MOVIE,” he wrote.
However, the Yeezy founder didn’t stop there. He shared a clip on his Instagram Stories to elucidate his post while flaunting his $850,000 Permanent Titanium Teeth. Dressed in a black outfit, the controversial rapper said:
“It’s Ye. We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes and I just wanted to express to everybody out there to see if there’s anyone that can help with this.”
Ye claimed the United Center is the only arena he was able to get access to in the past year because when he is being told there is no availability whenever he calls. “It’s the only arena that I had access to in the past year, and when I call, people say there’s no avails for me, and you know why that is. So, if there is anybody out there that can help with this, please do,” he lamented.
It’s unsure if Kanye is declaring his grievance against the United Center or other notable arenas. However, the website of the Chicago arena lists February 8 as a date secured for the “Ye & TY Dollar $ign Vultures Listening Experience.”
The Donda Academy principal is set to release his third collaborative album on February 9 and its first single has already been wrongly received. In the track “Vulture” which was teased in December during a party in Dubai, Ye ranted about being intimate with a Jewish woman to reject his alleged anti-Semitic title.
“How am I anti-Semitic? I just f—-d a Jewish b—-,” he said in the lyrics which were strongly condemned by several Jewish organizations. Ye, in a surprising move, released a heartfelt apology to the Jewish community via a statement written in Hebrew over the holidays.
“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any ‘unintended outburst.’ I did not intend to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian wrote.
The 46-year-old continued, “I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”
